If you create content regularly, whether you’re in marketing, own a small business, or work as a business professional, you need to set up a Virtual You on your favorite large language model. It’s become a critically important component of modern content creation. I’ll show you exactly how to do it on both Claude.ai and Google Gemini.

The Problem Every Content Creator Faces

You need to produce consistent, high-quality content to build your E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness). Google cares about this more than ever. AI search platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude consider these signals when deciding whom to cite.

But you only have so many hours in a day. You can’t personally write every blog post, respond to every publication opportunity, create every course update, and still run your business.

The traditional solutions all have problems. Delegate to team members? They don’t have your expertise or voice. Use generic AI? The output sounds like everyone else. Work more hours? Not sustainable.

What finally cracked the code was building what I call Virtual Chris.

What Is a Virtual You?

A Virtual You is an AI agent explicitly trained on your expertise, your voice, your methodology, and your knowledge. It sits on a large language model like Claude, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, or Perplexity. When your team interacts with it, the output reads as if you wrote it.

This isn’t about replacing yourself. It’s about amplifying yourself. The human remains the source of knowledge and authority. The AI amplifies and distributes that expertise at scale.

Amplifying Human Expertise

Real Results: What Virtual Chris Does for Me

Yesterday, I spent all day updating my course for the TCLoc Master’s degree program at the University of Strasbourg, where I teach the SEO and content marketing portion. Working with Virtual Chris, I created a comprehensive course template that would have taken me three to five times longer manually.

But the course update is just one example.

My team uses Virtual Chris to secure coverage in publications such as Marketer Magazine, Under 30 CEO, and Tech Bullion.

Here’s the part that still amazes me: I never saw these contributions until they were published. My team identified opportunities where publications were seeking expert input, used Virtual Chris to craft responses, and the publications accepted them, including active backlinks to Boulder SEO Marketing.

This is the E-E-A-T building at scale. Real backlinks from real publications. Real authority signals. All while I was occupied with other tasks.

How to Set Up Your Virtual You on Claude.ai

Go to Claude.ai and open Projects. I recommend the paid version for business use. Click New Project and configure these elements:

Instructions: Tell the AI who it is and what it should do. Explain your communication style, expertise areas, methodologies, and approaches to problems. Be specific. The better the instructions, the better the output. This is where you’ll spend upfront time that pays dividends forever.

Memory: These LLMs now have built-in memory. When you interact with your Virtual You, you can tell it to add specific information. It also builds its own memory over time based on your interactions. Your Virtual You gets smarter the more you use it.

Knowledge Base: This is critically important. Add transcripts of your videos, webinars, podcasts, sales calls, and speaking engagements. Everything you share as expertise becomes training material. I’m transcribing this video right now and will add it to Virtual Chris’s knowledge base.

Creating your Virtual You

You can upload files from your device, add text manually, or connect your Google Drive. The more source material you provide, the more authentically your Virtual You will represent you.

How to Set Up Your Virtual You on Google Gemini

If Google Gemini is your preference, head to Gems and click New Gem. You’ll see the same core elements: description, instructions, and knowledge base connections. You can connect your Google Drive directly and add links to the content you want included.

I have Virtual Chris set up on both platforms. They each have slightly different strengths. Claude tends to be better at longer-form content. Gemini integrates seamlessly with Google tools. Having both gives me flexibility.

The Universal Content Engine

I created a sophisticated prompting sequence that works with Virtual Chris to transform transcripts into content that ranks. The concept is simple: I create source content by having conversations. Sales calls, podcast interviews, conference presentations, tips like this one. Every conversation gets transcribed and feeds into the system.

Let me show you proof.

If you search “SEO price guide” in incognito mode, you’ll see content I created using this methodology ranking at the top in Google. The entire article was generated using Virtual Chris and the Universal Content Engine. This isn’t theoretical. It’s working right now.

Watch my DigiMarCon presentation for the complete methodology. I also have a video on Micro SEO Strategies that explains the broader framework.

What You Need to Do Today

Pick your preferred LLM. Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity. It doesn’t matter which. What matters is that you start.

Set up a project dedicated to being your Virtual You. Write detailed instructions about who you are, how you communicate, what you know, and how you approach problems.

Start feeding it transcripts. From now on, for every video you record, transcribe it and add it. Go back through your archives, too. Webinars, podcasts, presentations. The more source material, the better.

Then start using it. Let your team access it for publication opportunities. Use it yourself to accelerate content creation. Watch how much faster you can operate without sacrificing quality.

This is just the beginning. These LLM capabilities are evolving rapidly. But you can’t leverage future capabilities if you haven’t built the foundation.

The Bottom Line

I’ve been doing SEO for about 30 years. Virtual You is not an incremental improvement. It’s a fundamental shift in what’s possible.

The content sounds like you because it’s built on your knowledge. Backlinks to your site come from publications that feature genuine expert input. The authority signals accrue to you because the underlying expertise is authentically yours.

This is what human-driven, AI-assisted content creation actually looks like. Not generic AI slop. Don’t overwhelm yourself manually. A systematic approach that amplifies your expertise at scale.

Virtual Chris is a game-changer for me. Building your own Virtual You can be too.
